The Walled Gardens at Croome Court are committed to making our historic site as accessible, comfortable and enjoyable as possible for all visitors. While some features reflect the limitations of an 18th-century garden, we continuously improve access and provide clear information so you can plan your visit with confidence.
Getting Here
- Parking is available at the National Trust’s main Croome car park, including ample Blue Badge spaces close to the Visitor Welcome Centre.
- A buggy service can transport visitors from the National Trust car park to the Walled Gardens.
Mobility Access
- The majority of our pathways are level, wide and suitable for wheelchairs, mobility aids and pushchairs.
- Some surfaces may be uneven due to the historic nature of the site — we advise suitable footwear.
- Three all-terrain mobility vehicles (Trampers) are available to borrow from the National Trust Visitor Centre, enabling easy access throughout the gardens.
- Assistance is available whenever possible — please just ask a staff member or volunteer.
Buildings & Historic Features
- Most areas are accessible, but some original Georgian glasshouses include steps or narrow historic thresholds that cannot be altered.
- The underground tunnels contain uneven surfaces and are not wheelchair accessible, but we provide images and interpretation boards for all visitors.
Facilities
- Accessible toilets are located within The Gallery & Pottery.
- Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the Walled Gardens.
- Seating is available across the site, including resting points with views of the Malvern Hills and garden features.
